At times, it my feel like things are getting on top of you … or you may be struggling to make sense of your thoughts and feelings and even feeling overwhelmed.

You may be facing the daily burden of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, low self-confidence, relationship and family difficulties, trauma, loss of a loved one, obsessive thoughts, stress, loneliness or feeling like you’ve lost direction in life.

At these challenging moments, counselling can be very helpful.

It can provide an environment in which you can feel free to express yourself and safely explore your thoughts and feelings without the fear of hurting, offending or scaring the listener or being ‘told what to do’.

My approach

I believe that everyone I work with has the answers in themselves.

Therapy offers the opportunity to peel away the loud and intrusive voices and really begin to explore your thoughts, your feelings and beliefs.

I don’t see myself as the ‘expert’ in your life. You are the one who knows the daily struggles you face and what goes on inside your head and your heart.

My aim is to really listen to you. To give you the time and space to speak and truly feel heard so that you can begin to explore your feelings, thoughts and beliefs without being interrupted or judged.

My role is to accompany you in your journey towards understanding yourself and your life's story, what happened in your history to bring you to the place where you are today. Gaining this compassionate understanding for yourself can give you the ability to choose how you act and react today and in the future.

Providing you with a safe and confidential space.

All sessions take place in a soothing environment in which you can speak openly and without the fear of being overheard, criticised or judged allowing you to explore in detail the issues weighing you down.

My rooms are centrally located 7 minutes walk from Kings Cross station.

If you don’t wish to meet in-person, then I offer the convenience of an online option as well.

About me

Engin Eshref

I am a fully qualified 62-year-old London born man with Turkish Cypriot heritage. I began my journey at the age of 21 and through therapy, I’ve worked very hard to understand the roots of my difficult and painful issues.

I know how it is to feel crushed with the complex challenges of life.

I also know the joy of gaining a measure of self-awareness and freedom from the wounds of the past. Travelling my therapeutic journey has been the best thing that I ever did for myself and my loved ones. I truly believe in this process and I’m committed to helping those I work with.
